Application for new service can be made in person or online at www.aawater.com. Any meter installation, tap fees, service charges and/or deposits are due at the time the application is made. We require a photo ID and proof of residency for the parcel water is being established. APPLICATION FEE/CUSTOMER DEPOSITS At the time of application for service is made, the customer shall pay a security deposit and application fee as follows:
DISCONNECTION OF SERVICE When moving a final reading is performed on the day you vacate the property, and the meter is locked to ensure no water usage is charged to you after this date. The final usage reading will be deducted from your deposit on file and a check will be mail to you for the difference. PAST DUE ACCOUNTS
If payment is not received in full by the last day of the month, the greater of $5.00 or 10% of the balance will be added to your account. If payment is not made in full by the following read date or surpasses your deposit on file, a $75.00 fee will be added to your account, on top of the late charges and your meter will be locked. The account will need to be paid in full to have meter unlocked. Additional deposit may be required if habitual disconnection occurs. WATER BASE RATES
The Water Base Rate (BR) is billed to all accounts each month regardless of water consumption and includes up to 2000 gallons of water. WATER CONSUMPTION CHARGES 0 to 2000 Gallons ------- $43.00/month (BR) 2001-3000 Gallons ------- BR + .0090/Gallon 3001-5000 Gallons ------- BR + .01025/Gallon 5001-8000 Gallons ------- BR + .01130/Gallon 8001+ Gallons ------- BR + .01670/Gallon LEAK WAIVER Customers can receive help on a high-water bill due to a leak on the customer’s side of the meter no more than once every five (5) years (rolling five-year timeframe starting from the date of the last leak adjustment the customer received). Repairs must be taken care of in the first 10 days after the leak is detected. The adjustment covers one (1) billing period. A leak is considered an unintentional water loss caused by broken or damaged plumbing fixtures, pipes, or irrigation equipment at a customer’s residence. Leak adjustment refers to ONLY the water volume above the customer’s average bill. The additional volume will be billed at the rate A&A Water pays. Customer must submit in writing a copy of repairs completed by a licensed plumber with the State of Georgia to be considered for a bill adjustment. |
PAYMENTS
Your monthly mailed or emailed bill will be the only statement you will receive. If you do not receive your bill, it is your responsibility to contact our office for any amount you may owe. Your meter is always read the first week of the month, and due the last day of the month for the previous month’s usage. If your bill is not paid by the last day of the month and a late fee charged. Water will be disconnected without notice if account becomes two months due or over the deposit on file. |

ADDITIONAL WATER METER INFORMATION The property owner must provide their own cutoff valve. Using the turn off at the meter is not permitted and could result in meter tampering charge. |
